How to backup Contact for Your Android device.

If you are updating your phone it can be a good idea to backup your contact list before doing so. Usually this is not necessary but if you are unlucky you can loose all your data including your contacts.

If your contacts appear here your contacts are backed up already

The good news
Thankfully Google has made Android Os in such a way that if you have linked your Android phone to your Gmail, your contacts are most likely already synced with your gmail.
  1. To check this go to your Gmail account.
  2. In the upper left corner under the Google logo press where it says Gmail.
  3. In the drop down that appears choose Contacts.
  4. Your contacts should appear.
If you saw your contact list from your phone in that list you are done. Google has already backed up your contacts.
If you did not find your contacts there are some things you need to do to make sure that they are backed up.
Found something useful why not

How to backup your Android contacts
  1. Go to your phones settings ( if you don’t have a shortcut on your homescreen you can find it in your list of apps )
  2. Scroll though this menu and press the tab that says Back up and reset.
  3. Now what you have to do is make sure the Back up my data tab is checked, and if it is not, check it right now.
This should ensure that your contacts are backed up automatically. As soon as you ad a contact to your phone it will get synced to your Gmail account.
If your phone is lost or you loose it in the toilet or any other action that may lead to involuntarily buying a new phone you can now rest asured that your contact list is intact.
If for any reason you are switching phones it is a good idea to backup you contact data. I can clearly remember in the olden days when one was forced to manually insert all ones contacts into your new phone by writing everyone’s number and name into the contact list one by one.

Another way to backup your Android contacts
  1. Open the contact list on your phone.

Export/import options
  1. Hit the menu button from your contact list.
  2. From the list that appears hit the import/export tab.
  3. This will bring up a list of available export and importing options.
Once you have picked the option that applies to you the list will be backed up. What’s left to do is import the contact list on your new phone.

How to Remove the Camera Shutter Sound on an iPhone

-Removing the camera sound -Requires changing a file name.
Whatever your reasons are for wanting to get rid of the camera shutter sound on your iPhone, it's possible to disable it fairly easily. Since the sound has nothing to do with the photo being taken, you can simply rename the sound effect that's associated with it and still be able to take pictures like you normally would.
Step 1Download IFILE for IOS from Cydia on your idevice. This app allows you to look through your iPhone's system files with ease.
Step 2Click on the Finder icon from your main menu and then click "Ifile" at the next screen.
Step 3Type "/System/Library/Audio/UISounds" into the Finder search box.
Step 4Scroll to the file named “photoShutter.caf” and double-click on it.
Step 5Click on the file name and rename it. The idea here is to rename the "photoShutter" file to something else; when the iPhone then goes to access the file while taking a picture, it's not there. Rename the file anything you want; for ease, just add a "1" or a few letters before the ".caf" portion.
Step 6Press "Back" or "Done" to exit the IFile program.

WeatherBoard brings amazing weather effects to the Home screen and Lock screen

WeatherBoard
WeatherBoard, one of the biggest brand new tweaks that we’ve seen hit iOS 8 thus far, is now available for purchase on Cydia’s BigBoss repo for $2.49. It’s an awesome release that brings impressive weather effects to the iPhone’s Home screen and Lock screen.
WeatherBoard allows you to use custom weather related Wallpapers (over 80 of them) along with weather overlays that can use your existing wallpaper. The tweak is even capable of providing weather effects based on what’s happening in a specific location. Have a look at our video walkthrough after the break to see WeatherBoard in action.
Once you install WeatherBoard, you’ll need to head over to the stock Settings app to configure its settings. There are sections for Condition Overlays, Condition Wallpapers, and City Wallpapers.
The Condition Overlays allow you to use any of the following conditions on your Home and Lock screen. These conditions—nearly 50 of them—will display on top of your existing wallpaper:

  4. Scattered Thunderstorms
  5. Thunderstorm
  6. Sever Thunderstorm

  31. Mixed Snow and Sleet
  32. Freezing Drizzle
  33. Freezing Rain
  34. Isolated Snow Showers
  35. Scattered Snow Showers

  41. Blizzard
  42. Mixed Rainfall
  43. Hail
  44. Sleet
  45. Frigid
  46. Breezy
  47. Windy
Along with the condition Overlays comes condition wallpapers. These wallpapers will replace the wallpaper currently on your device and couple them with any of the conditions mentioned previously. You can choose between both day and night conditions, which doubles the amount of available wallpaper.
WeatherBoard Settings
Lastly, you can choose City Wallpapers. City Wallpaper allows you to use wallpaper coupled with current conditions happening in a specific city. The conditions will update based on the real weather conditions in the city you select, and you can designate specific update intervals and watch the weather update as conditions change.
Needless to say, WeatherBoard is an impressive jailbreak tweak that makes it easy to gain a custom look to your Home and Lock screen wallpaper. Its built using native animations, and its settings look very native as well.

SmartTap

Compatible with iOS 7 and 8

Turn on the screen by double-tapping it!

SmartTap gives your iPhone, iPod or iPad a new impossible feature:
You can turn on the screen by double tapping it while its completely off! (similar to a few other phone brands' Knock capability)

You can also use other gestures, like slide up from the bottom or slide down from top of the screen while its off, and have it perform a different action like, unlock the device or launch a particular application.

Right from your locked device with the screen being off!

Ideal for any use, you will give your power and home button a rest, since you can both turn on, unlock and lock the device by double-tapping the screen.

Its also a great solution for device with broken home button, sleep button or both.

Features that iPhone lacked has always been a challenge and adding new ones brings always a great satisfaction.

I have also developed a cool pocket touches detection that prevents double-taps from being detected while the device is in your pocket, purses or other places!

The application uses the digitizer sensor when the screen goes off, without keeping the screen on.

In order for the tweak to constantly receive touches when locked,it prevents device from entering idle sleep mode. This will drain more battery especially during idle times. There are options in the settings to schedule the hours when you need the tweak most in order to maintain more battery, set timeout of inactivity or disable idle sleep prevention.

There is a flipswitch provided so you can turn the tweak on or off at any time and more power options to customise with.

No other tweak has access to the locked, turned off screen so far so there are no conflicting tweaks at all

AppLocker iOS

AppLocker is without a doubt one of those jailbreak tweaks that has been with us since the beginning. It was probably one of the first major Cydia tweaks that everybody wanted to download.
